Dave Lindahl Ratings and Reviews

Background

David Lindahl began his career as a landscaper with little experience in the real estate industry. His initial foray into real estate investments began with rehabbing and flipping properties.

Then he was impressed by a speech given by Harry Helmsley regarding the wealth he had obtained from apartment investing.   So after consistently working in the “house flipping” business, Lindahl eventually saved enough to invest in apartments. The down payments for investing in more apartment buildings came from more home rehabs.

Lindahl has become well known in real estate coaching for his Boot Camp series and he continually travels to various locations to teach his three-day Boot Camp course.
Additionally he has authored the book, “Trump University Commercial Real Estate 101:  How Small Investors Can Get Started and Make it Big,” and the real estate investing course, Apartment House Riches.

His website also offers a variety of packages which include CDs, a program called Cash Flow Analyzer, and personal one-on-one assistance (promised in the form of a certificate).

His Target Market

The course materials and information provided on Lindahl’s website focus on investing in apartments. He encourages people to get involved in this type of investing because there is a constant cash flow from tenants to help pay the bills involved with property management.

His course and materials offer advice on where to find deals on apartment and how to maintain the property once it’s been purchased. However, he also suggests that people should start out investing in apartments on a part-time basis.

Although Lindahl got his start in real estate investing by flipping houses, it doesn’t seem to be a major factor in his course. In fact, he recommends investing only in multiple tenant properties as opposed to those with single tenants.

Ratings and Reviews

There is a fairly even mix of positive to negative reviews of Dave Lindahl’s products and services. The reviewers who attended his seminars stated that he was a very likeable speaker who offered good instructions on the basics of determining if an apartment would be a profitable investment.

One reviewer mentioned that the three-day Boot Camp event excessively promoted upsells which had little to do with apartment investing … another reviewer reported that there were strained moments of audience participation during the instruction periods of Lindahl’s “bonus speakers.”

And, as with any student testimonials offered by any type of mentor, teacher, or coach, it is important to understand the backgrounds of their successful students. For example, one reviewer was surprised to learn that the graduates of Lindahl’s seminar were already successful residential investors prior to taking the course.
